As part of the final Vogue Personal Project at Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design, I was challenged to step into the role of Creative Director and develop a collaborative product — not a traditional fashion item, but one that carried a clear fashion message. The goal was to merge my own design aesthetic with the identity of an assigned brand, creating a product that was conceptually aligned with both and commercially appealing to its audience.
My assigned brand was Nudie Jeans, a Swedish label renowned for its commitment to sustainability, organic denim, and the philosophy of circular fashion. With a strong focus on repair, reuse, and recycling, Nudie has carved out a space in the market for conscious consumers who value quality, transparency, and timeless design.
For the project, I conceptualized a sustainable water bottle with a twist: the exterior shell would be produced using a special technique that fuses textile fibers with acrylic, allowing repurposed denim — including a customer’s own old jeans — to become part of the design. This not only gives discarded garments a second life but also deepens the emotional value of the product through personal connection and storytelling.
I had previously explored this fabric-acrylic fusion technique during my time as a fashion designer at Juliana Jabour, where we applied it to the development of sunglasses. Revisiting and adapting this method for a different product category allowed me to bring innovation and technical insight to the collaboration while reinforcing Nudie’s core values.
In addition to product development, I also analyzed the brand from a creative direction perspective, identifying areas where Nudie could further expand its visual identity and storytelling — particularly through more emotional, fashion-forward communication without compromising its sustainable ethos.
To fully visualize the concept, I created a fictional photoshoot and campaign, envisioning how the product could be communicated within Nudie’s world — blending its utilitarian and sustainable ethos with a more emotional, fashion-oriented tone.
This project reflects my ability to work across disciplines, combining product design, brand alignment, and strategic creative thinking to bring meaningful, fashion-driven ideas into new spaces.
