As part of the Creative Direction course at Condé Nast College of Fashion & Design, I took on the role of Creative Director in a collaborative Vogue group project, where we developed a complete conceptual December issue from scratch. Working alongside fellow editors, photographers, stylists, and journalists, I led the creative vision and oversaw the coordination of all elements — from editorial direction to visual storytelling.
Our theme, “Old x New,” explored the tension and dialogue between tradition and innovation — a reflection of today's polarized politics, evolving cultural identities, and shifting societal behaviors. Through a fictional cover story and photoshoot (developed using AI imagery), we examined how these contrasts manifest in the current fashion landscape, revealing a generation both nostalgic and forward-thinking.
The issue also extended this theme into architecture and beauty, investigating how minimalist routines, retro-futuristic aesthetics, and hybrid lifestyles speak to a deeper search for meaning and belonging in a fragmented world.
This project was not only a deep dive into contemporary creative direction but also a chance to build and present a cohesive, concept-driven editorial product that mirrored the standards of a globally renowned fashion publication.
